Let Your ESOP Ideas Flow in 2012 - A Letter from the President of The Wisconsin Chapter of The ESOP Association
I am looking forward to continuing my term as Chapter President in 2012, and am excited to introduce the schedule of fun and educational events we have planned for the upcoming year!
First of all, 2011 was a very successful year, with more programs and higher attendance than ever! Check out the 2011 Newsletter for a complete recap of those events.
Moving into 2012, I think you will find that we have another excellent line-up of events to provide educational and networking opportunities:
- We will kick things off on March 13, with a full-day 2-track conference at the Sprecher Brewing Company in Milwaukee.
- June is a busy month with the CEO/CFO Roundtable at CC&N in Pewaukee on June 5, and the second annual HR Roundtable at Total Water Treatment in Madison on June 20.
- This year's summer event will be held on August 9 at the Chula Vista Resort in Wisconsin Dells.
- We will also continue the ESOPs on Site tradition in at least two locations this year.
- The chapter will close out the year by joining the Illinois, Iowa-Nebraska, and Minnesota/Dakotas chapters in hosting the Midwest ESOP Regional Conference on September 19-21 at the Marriott Hotel in Des Moines, IA.

We continue to impress upon you the importance of active Government Relations to remind our representatives in Washington that ESOPs are good for the economy, create jobs, and provide retirement security. We must work to strengthen our ties with members of Congress and their staff to share our ESOP success stories and ensure that ESOPs are protected as tax reform policies change. The Wisconsin Chapter will continue to schedule Capitol Hill visits during the National Conference in Washington DC, and we hope you will participate. If you would like to host a congressional visit at your company, our Legislative Committee is ready to help you get started!
In addition to everything mentioned above, The ESOP Association sponsors many terrific conferences on a national level throughout the year. News of these events will be posted on this site as well at the national website at www.esopassociation.org.
